What is an LWRP?

The Town of Schodack and Village of Castleton-on-Hudson received a grant from the New York State Department of State with funds provided under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund to prepare a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP). An LWRP is a comprehensive land and water use program for the Waterfront Revitalization Area (WRA).

This plan will guide the Town and Village in identifying and preserving its waterfront areas providing opportunities for economic development, sustainability, and increased public access to waterfront resources. The Town of Schodack and Village of Castleton-on-Hudson adopted an LWRP in 1995.
